FRAGILE MINDS

The context behind these images is trying to convey that neurotic aspect of the human brain. That niggly voice that tell you you're not good enough, that you are a mess, that you can't get through today. That anxious, paranoid self that is part of every person, with some it takes over more than others. This side of us tries to push through that filter to sabotage and bring the negative to the surface. These images also connected with the idea of 'Fragile Beauty' and appearance. People often have a falsified sense of their appearance, insecurities and scars from the past that have altered perceptions of ourselves. Perhaps this is communicated to others, or do we just believe this? Maybe the way you style yourself and how you feel about it is effected by your social and cultural environment. Because of this we often lean on things like make-up, cosmetics, falsities and even surgery to achieve a perfect or imperfect appearance that can often wrap the mind.
